High Rev's 1900-2000 Ivan's ECU and Cobra PowrPro Black

I thought I’d share a problem I had when I rode to Europe in July.
When starting the bike, it ran at about 900 rpm, although it used to run higher until it warmed up.
When riding the bike, at times the revs would increase and not go below 1900-2000 and even though I turned the throttle they wouldn't reduce which can be scary when going through twisty roads or coming to a stop. It seemed to be happening more frequently but not noticeable on the motorway. I could sometimes make the rpm come down by selecting a lower gear, putting on the brakes and when I drop the clutch the revs go back to 900, but it didn’t always work.
Sometimes the rpm's just go back to 900 rpm's when I'm slowing down or changing gear.
The throttle was also a bit slow in responding but not always, making riding a different experience.
When I got home I ran a diagnostic test, and nothing stood out from the last time I had run the test a few years ago. Having a second Warrior helped as when I ran the diagnostics, I could hear the LCV operating but I couldn’t hear it on the first bike.
Reading a post on the RSWarrior website I took the LCV off the bike and stripped it down. It was very sticky and didn’t slide as easily as I thought it would, so I gave it a good clean.
When I put it back together, I again ran the diagnostic test but again the LCV did nothing. I the read the post again to find the fuse marked ECU controls the LCV. Changed the fuse and it worked.
I started the bike and the revs went to about 1100-1200, not quite as high as I expected but it’s a warm day here.
I left the bike running so it got up to temperature and when the LCV cut out the revs went down to 400-500, bit of a shock but using the throttle to keep the revs about 900 I turned the adjustment screw until I didn’t need to use the throttle anymore. My fault as when the bikes revs were high, I turned the adjustment screw to try and lower them.
Went for a road test and the bikes running as it used to, no more throttle delays when pulling away and when I pull in the clutch the revs drop down to 900 ish which is what it should do
An unusual problem but I thought I’d share my experience in case it happens to someone else.
