The anual meeting of the "European Warriors" from July 24. to 27. in the Black Forest was a big success. I'm sorry that we could not count as many participants as 2008 (22) but we had 19 Warriors and two "guests". Of course our true friends from Switzerland Hardrider and Hagi were with us again. Those two are really not afraid of long distances and join us wherever we are.
To my greatest surprise and joy we had two Warriors from England with us. Tomba and Jools had endured the long ride to be with us. Of course both of them immediately received the "Hard Butt" patch for this effort.They have really earned it for the long ride from England.
From their feedback I think they had a very good time with us and enjoyed the food and the nice excursion through the mountains and valleys of the Black Forest.
Thank you very much also to the Schröder-Family who runs the hotel "Zum letzten Gstehr" and who really took care of us very well. We surely will recommend this place to other bikers that decide to visit that region.
The excursion scheduled for saturday was a little handicapped by the unstable weather but we made the best out of the situation and preferred the directions with the white clouds and the blue patches in between. So we had some stretches of wet roads but no rain at all.
Frank who lives in "Denzlingen" at the rim of the Rhine-Vally had invited us to his home for coffee and cake.
After that we rode on on over mountains and through small valleys using small roads whenever possible.
